For two decades I have worked at the interface of technology, culture, politics and security, supporting shifts from conflict to cooperation. I like to get things started. To make the impossible possible.

My experience includes time in Whitehall and Westminster, working on the UK Africa Strategy and through a long term relationship with the UK Parliamentary Group on the Sudans. I am experienced in conflict analysis, delivering deep investigations for clients including the United States Special Envoy to Sudan, South Sudan Council of Churches, and Saferworld, as well as for grassroots community organisations. I believe in investing in understanding and ensuring it informs tangible choices in the real world.

I believe in the power of dialogue. Whether through political processes such as multi-level peacebuilding in the Sudanese borderlands or through the nationwide Citizen’s Theatre movement we built in South Sudan in the face of severe political repression. My innovations in PeaceTech include delivering Amnesty’s first use of Virtual Reality for advocacy, mobile applications for remote data collection, and product design for off-grid mobile cinema. I’ve also directed reportage and short film, and introduced participatory video to broaden peace processes and enable cross-line communication.

In 2010, I founded the successful C.I.C TFM, which has since delivered over 100 public and confidential projects with support from the European Union, U.S Department of State, USAID, AECOM, FCDO, Internews, the British Council and other NGO partners.

Open to new adventures.
